'''Michael Cuffe''' (1694 – 24 July 1744) was an Irish Member of Parliament.

The son of [Francis Cuffe](/source/Francis_Cuffe_(died_1694)) by his wife Honora, daughter of Archbishop [Michael Boyle](/source/Michael_Boyle_(the_younger)), his paternal grandmother was the sister of [Francis Aungier, 1st Earl of Longford](/source/Francis_Aungier%2C_1st_Earl_of_Longford).

Michael Cuffe was born in [Dublin](/source/Dublin) and educated at [Trinity College Dublin](/source/Trinity_College_Dublin).<ref>"Alumni Dublinenses : a register of the students, graduates, professors and provosts of [Trinity College in the University of Dublin](/source/Trinity_College_Dublin) (1593–1860)", [George Dames Burtchaell](/source/George_Dames_Burtchaell)/[Thomas Ulick Sadleir](/source/Thomas_Ulick_Sadleir), p. 200: Dublin, Alex Thom and Co, 1935</ref> He was elected to the [Irish House of Commons](/source/Irish_House_of_Commons) for [County Mayo](/source/County_Mayo_(Parliament_of_Ireland_constituency)) in 1719 - he resided at [Ballinrobe](/source/Ballinrobe) - and then for [Longford Borough](/source/Longford_Borough_(Parliament_of_Ireland_constituency)) in November 1727, sitting until his death. 
 
His daughter, [Elizabeth](/source/Elizabeth_Pakenham%2C_1st_Countess_of_Longford), married [Thomas Pakenham](/source/Thomas_Pakenham%2C_1st_Baron_Longford) in 1739. Pakenham was created [Baron Longford](/source/Baron_Longford) in 1756 and she was created [Countess of Longford](/source/Earl_of_Longford) in 1785.
