**Michael Berek** is a former [East German](/source/East_Germany) [slalom canoeist](/source/Slalom_canoeing) who competed in the mid-to-late 1970s. He won a bronze medal in the C-2 event at the [1977 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships](/source/1977_ICF_Canoe_Slalom_World_Championships) in [Spittal](/source/Spittal_an_der_Drau).
