'''''Micarea phylicae''''' is a species of [crustose lichen](/source/crustose_lichen) in the family [Ectolechiaceae](/source/Ectolechiaceae). Found in the [Tristan da Cunha–Gough Island](/source/Tristan_da_Cunha%E2%80%93Gough_Islands_shrub_and_grasslands), it was [described](/source/species_description) as a new species in 2010 by Dag Øvstedal, as ''Szczawinskia phylicae''. The [type](/source/type_(biology)) specimen was collected during the [Norwegian Tristan da Cunha expedition of 1937–1938](/source/Norwegian_Scientific_Expedition_to_Tristan_Da_Cunha_1937-1938). Captain [Erling Christophersen](/source/Erling_Christophersen) and botanical assistant Yngvar Mejland found the specimen above Sandy Point in [Tristan da Cunha](/source/Tristan_da_Cunha), where it was growing on [Island Cape myrtle](/source/Phylica_arborea) (''Phylica arborea'') at an altitude of {{convert|300|m|ft|abbr=on}}.<ref name="Øvstedal & Gremmen 2010"/> The species was reclassified in the genus ''[Micarea](/source/Micarea)'' in 2026.<ref name="Myllys et al. 2026"/>
