**Micah** (/ˈmaɪkə/; ) is a given name.

Micah is the name of several people in the [Tanakh](/source/Tanakh), and means "Who is like God?”. The name is sometimes found with [theophoric extensions](/source/Theophoric_name). Suffix theophory in *[Yah](/source/Jah)* and in *[Yahweh](/source/Yahweh)* results in **Michaiah** or **Michaihu** (), meaning *who is like [Yahweh](/source/Yahweh)?*[1] Suffix theophory in *[El](/source/El_(god))* results in *[Michael](/source/Michael_(given_name))* (), meaning "who is like god".

In [German](/source/German_language) and [Dutch](/source/Dutch_language), Micah is spelled *Micha* and the *ch* in the name is pronounced either [ʃ] or [x]; the first is more common in female names, the latter in male names. In [Finnish](/source/Finnish_language), Micah is spelled *Miika*.
