Of 127 analysed specimens of ''M.'' ''baibianorum'' from the [La Colonia Formation](/source/La_Colonia_Formation) of [Patagonia](/source/Patagonia), 27.5% showed signs of some form of [dental pathology](/source/Tooth_pathology) such as [caries](/source/Tooth_decay), [abscess](/source/Dental_abscess), [hyperplasia](/source/hyperplasia), [fracture](/source/Dental_trauma), [erosion](/source/Dental_erosion), and alteration in growth, though none showed signs of [attrition](/source/Dental_attrition), [osteopenia](/source/osteopenia), [parasitic invasions](/source/Parasitism).
