## Geography

The Mesquite Bosque association occurs in the [Sonoran Desert](/source/Sonoran_Desert), with [mesquite (*Prosopis* spp.)](/source/Prosopis) dominating. In some cases, this plant association is along [xeric](/source/Xeric) portions of desert [floodplains](/source/Floodplain), [bajadas](/source/Bajada_(geography)), and [arroyos](/source/Arroyo_(creek)).[1]
