***Merimna atrata*** is a species of [beetle](/source/Beetle) in the family [Buprestidae](/source/Buprestidae), family [Buprestinae](/source/Buprestinae), tribe [Melanophilini](/source/Melanophilini) and is the only species in the genus ***Merimna***.[1][2] It is native to Australia.
