'''Meng Yan''' (born 30 September 1980 in [Jilin](/source/Jilin)) is a [Chinese](/source/PR_China) [track and field](/source/track_and_field) athlete who specialises in the [400 metre hurdles](/source/400_metre_hurdles).

He won the silver medal at the [2006 Asian Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_2006_Asian_Games). He competed at the [2008 Olympic Games](/source/Athletics_at_the_2008_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_Men's_400_metres_hurdles) without reaching the final.

His personal best time is 49.03 seconds, achieved in May 2006 in [Bangalore](/source/Bangalore). This is the [national record](/source/List_of_Chinese_records_in_athletics) in the 400&nbsp;m hurdles.
