# Melodryas

***Melodryas*** is a [genus](/source/Genus) of [moths](/source/Moth) belonging to the [family](/source/Family_(taxonomy)) [Tineidae](/source/Tineidae).[1] It contains only one species, ***Melodryas doris***, which is found on the [Solomon Islands](/source/Solomon_Islands).

The [wingspan](/source/Wingspan) is 20–21 mm. The forewings are elongate and purplish-black with a broad orange transverse fascia.[2]
