***Melinda Doring*** is an Australian [production designer](/source/Production_designer) and former [costume designer](/source/Costume_designer). She has won the [AACTA Award for Best Production Design](/source/AACTA_Award_for_Best_Production_Design) four times and been nominated twice more.

## Career

In reviews of *[Home Song Stories](/source/Home_Song_Stories)* (2007), *[Variety](/source/Variety_(magazine))* called the production "ace",[1] and *[The Hollywood Reporter](/source/The_Hollywood_Reporter)* described it as "first-rate".[2] In an otherwise mixed review, *[The Sydney Morning Herald](/source/The_Sydney_Morning_Herald)* praised Doring's production design in *[Triangle](/source/Triangle_(2009_British_film))* (2009).[3] *The Hollywood Reporter* wrote that her production design in *[The Eye of the Storm](/source/The_Eye_of_the_Storm_(2011_film))* "evokes a world of chauffeured Bentleys and kangaroo-fur stoles inhabited by a wannabe colonial aristocracy".[4]
