**Melanie Maurer** (born 17 June 1988) is a Swiss professional [racing cyclist](/source/Bicycle_racing),[1] and [duathlete](/source/Duathlon), who last rode for [UCI Women's Continental Team](/source/UCI_Women's_Team) [Stade Rochelais Charente-Maritime](/source/Mayenne_Monbana_My_Pie).[2][3] She rode in the [women's road race event](/source/2020_UCI_Road_World_Championships_%E2%80%93_Women's_road_race) at the [2020 UCI Road World Championships](/source/2020_UCI_Road_World_Championships).[4] In 2022, Maurer won the [World Triathlon Long Distance Duathlon Championships](/source/World_Triathlon_Long_Distance_Duathlon_Championships),[5] after finishing second in both the 2018 and 2019 editions.[6]

## Personal life

Outside of sport, Maurer works as a sports therapist.[6]
