**Meja** is a constituency of the [Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly](/source/Uttar_Pradesh_Legislative_Assembly) covering the city of Meja in the [Prayagraj district](/source/Prayagraj_district) of Uttar Pradesh, India.[1]

Meja is one of five assembly constituencies in the [Allahabad Lok Sabha constituency](/source/Allahabad_Lok_Sabha_constituency). Since 2008, this assembly constituency is numbered 259 amongst 403 constituencies.

Currently this seat belongs to [Samajwadi Party](/source/Samajwadi_Party) candidate [Sandeep Singh](/source/Sandeep_Singh_Patel) who won in last Assembly election of [2022 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Elections](/source/2022_Uttar_Pradesh_Legislative_Assembly_election) defeating [Bhartiya Janata Party](/source/Bhartiya_Janata_Party) candidate **Neelam Karwariya** by a margin of 3295 votes.[2][3]
