**Meherpur-2** is a constituency represented in the [Jatiya Sangsad](/source/Jatiya_Sangsad) (National Parliament) of [Bangladesh](/source/Bangladesh). ## Boundaries

The constituency encompasses [Gangni Upazila](/source/Gangni_Upazila).[2][3]

## History

The constituency was created in 1984 from a Kushtia constituency when the former Kushtia District was split into three districts: [Meherpur](/source/Meherpur_District), [Kushtia](/source/Kushtia_District), and [Chuadanga](/source/Chuadanga_District).[4]
