**Mehdi Pashazadeh** ([Persian](/source/Persian_language): مهدی پاشازاده, born 27 December 1973) is an Iranian [football](/source/Association_football) coach and former player who played as a [defender](/source/Defender_(association_football)).[1] He played for several clubs, including [Esteghlal Tehran](/source/Esteghlal_Tehran), [Bayer Leverkusen](/source/Bayer_04_Leverkusen) (Germany), [Fortuna Köln](/source/SC_Fortuna_K%C3%B6ln) (Germany), [Rapid Wien](/source/SK_Rapid_Wien) (Austria) and [Sturm Graz](/source/SK_Sturm_Graz) (Austria). He played for the [Iran national team](/source/Iran_national_football_team) and was a participant at the [1998 FIFA World Cup](/source/1998_FIFA_World_Cup).[2][3][4][5][6]
