# Meg McCall

**Margaret "Meg" Sutherland McCall** was a [Canadian](/source/Canadians) politician, who represented the [electoral district](/source/Electoral_district_(Canada)) of [Klondike](/source/Klondike_(electoral_district)) in the [Yukon Legislative Assembly](/source/Yukon_Legislative_Assembly) from 1978 to 1982. She was a member of the [Yukon Progressive Conservative Party](/source/Yukon_Progressive_Conservative_Party).

She defeated [Yukon New Democratic Party](/source/Yukon_New_Democratic_Party) leader [Fred Berger](/source/Fred_Berger_(politician)) and independent candidate [Eleanor Millard](/source/Eleanor_Millard) in the [1978 territorial election](/source/1978_Yukon_general_election).[1] She died of cancer in 1997.[2]
