**Meera Chopra** (also spelled as Meerra Chopraa) is an Indian actress and producer who has appeared in [Tamil](/source/Tamil_language), [Telugu](/source/Telugu_language), and [Hindi](/source/Hindi)-language films.[1] In Tamil films, she is credited as **Nila**.[2] [3]

## Early life and education

Chopra was born in [India](/source/India). She attended [SGTB Khalsa College](/source/SGTB_Khalsa_College), [Delhi University](/source/Delhi_University), but later left her studies to pursue a career in films. She subsequently continued her education in the [United States](/source/United_States) and completed a master's degree in mass communication and journalism from the [University of Michigan](/source/University_of_Michigan).

Bollywood actresses [Priyanka Chopra](/source/Priyanka_Chopra), [Parineeti Chopra](/source/Parineeti_Chopra), and [Mannara Chopra](/source/Mannara_Chopra) are her paternal second cousins.[4] Chopra has discussed her relationship with the Chopra family in interviews, noting a close familial bond with her cousins Priyanka, Parineeti and Mannara.[5]

## Personal life

Chopra married businessman Rakshit Kejriwal in [Jaipur](/source/Jaipur) on March 12, 2024.[6]

## Film career

Meera's [Tamil](/source/Tamil_cinema) debut was with the 2005 film *[Anbe Aaruyire](/source/Anbe_Aaruyire_(2005_film))*, in which she starred with [S. J. Surya](/source/S._J._Surya). Her second film was [Bangaram](/source/Bangaram_(film)), a Telugu-language film starring *[Pawan Kalyan](/source/Pawan_Kalyan)*, followed by her critically acclaimed performance in [M. S. Raju](/source/M._S._Raju)'s *[Vaana](/source/Vaana_(film))*. Much later she made her Bollywood debut in [Vikram Bhatt](/source/Vikram_Bhatt)'s *[1920 London: Fear Strikes Again](/source/1920_London%3A_Fear_Strikes_Again)*, with [Sharman Joshi](/source/Sharman_Joshi).[7] She's also worked in [Satish Kaushik](/source/Satish_Kaushik)'s *[Gang of Ghosts](/source/Gang_of_Ghosts)*, produced by Venus. Meera is set to work in *Nastik* opposite [Arjun Rampal](/source/Arjun_Rampal) which is set to release in late 2021. She played Anjali Dangle in a 2019 film *[Section 375](/source/Section_375)* with [Akshaye Khanna](/source/Akshaye_Khanna) and [Richa Chaddha](/source/Richa_Chaddha).

In 2023, she was cast in a movie dealing with women's asexuality called 'Superwoman'.

In addition to acting, Chopra established her own production company, Pincmoon Meta Studios. She produced her first feature film, [Gandhi Talks](/source/Gandhi_Talks), which is a silent film featuring music composed by A. R. Rahman.
