**Md Isa bin Sabu** (born 24 August 1946) is a [Malaysian](/source/Malaysia) politician who served as the seventh [Chief Minister](/source/Chief_Ministers_of_Malaysia) of the Malaysian state of [Perlis](/source/Perlis), in office from 2008 to 2013. He is a member of the [United Malays National Organisation](/source/United_Malays_National_Organisation) (UMNO). He held the state assembly seat of Bintong, in the Perlis capital of [Kangar](/source/Kangar), until his retirement from politics in 2013.

Md Isa was sworn in as Chief Minister of Perlis on 17 March 2008 following the [2008 Malaysian election](/source/2008_Malaysian_general_election). The [Raja of Perlis](/source/Raja_of_Perlis) appointed Md Isa despite Perlis UMNO leader [Shahidan Kassim](/source/Shahidan_Kassim) having a letter of appointment from [Prime Minister](/source/Prime_Minister_of_Malaysia) [Abdullah Ahmad Badawi](/source/Abdullah_Ahmad_Badawi). Md Isa claimed the support of eight of his fellow UMNO assemblymen, satisfying the Raja that he could command the support of a majority of the 15-member Perlis state assembly.[1] He did not re-contest his seat in the [2013 election](/source/2013_Malaysian_general_election), citing his age (67).[2] He was replaced as Chief Minister by [Azlan Man](/source/Azlan_Man).

Md Isa is married with seven children.[3] He was member of the [federal parliament](/source/Parliament_of_Malaysia) for [Kangar](/source/Kangar) from 1995 to 1999.
