**Maximilian Sax** (born 22 November 1992) is an Austrian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for [FCM Traiskirchen](/source/FCM_Traiskirchen).

## International career

Sax got his first call up to the senior [Austria](/source/Austria_national_football_team) side after [Marcel Sabitzer](/source/Marcel_Sabitzer) withdrew through injury for [2018 FIFA World Cup](/source/2018_FIFA_World_Cup) qualifiers against [Wales](/source/Wales_national_football_team) and [Georgia](/source/Georgia_national_football_team) in September 2017.[1]
