# Max Hyde Jr.

**Max T. Hyde Jr.** (born October 29, 1973) is an [American](/source/American_people) politician. He is a former member of the [South Carolina House of Representatives](/source/South_Carolina_House_of_Representatives) from the 32nd District, serving from 2018 to 2024. He is a member of the [Republican party](/source/Republican_Party_(United_States)).[1][2]

## Political career

Prior to service in the State legislature, Hyde served on [Spartanburg](/source/Spartanburg,_South_Carolina) City Council before resigning to run for state office.[3]

Hyde opted not to seek re-election in 2024.[4]
