Born in Brazil, he represented Chile at youth level. ## Early life Viana was born in [São Paulo](/source/S%C3%A3o_Paulo), Brazil to a Brazilian father and a Chilean mother. When he was 5, he and his mother moved to [Limache](/source/Limache), where he was raised.[2] ## Club career On 4 August 2013, Viana was injured towards the end of a match against [Audax Italiano](/source/Audax_Italiano), but played on to the end and saved a late penalty to keep the score goalless. After the match, he received emergency surgery for a perforated intestine.[3] In 2024, Viana signed with [Trasandino](/source/Trasandino_de_Los_Andes) in the [Segunda División Profesional de Chile](/source/Segunda_Divisi%C3%B3n_Profesional_de_Chile).[4] In July of the same year, he announced his retirement due to a serious physical degeneration.[5] ## International career He was a substitute at the [friendly matches](/source/Exhibition_game#International_football) of the [Chile senior team](/source/Chile_national_football_team) against [Paraguay](/source/Paraguay_national_football_team) and [Peru](/source/Peru_national_football_team) in December 2011[6] and April 2012[7] respectively.
