# Matteo Meisl

**Matteo Raphael Meisl** (born 27 December 2000) is an Austrian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) for [Admira Wacker](/source/Admira_Wacker).

## Career

Meisl is a youth product of the academies of [SV Kuchl](https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/SV_Kuchl), [Red Bull Salzburg](/source/FC_Red_Bull_Salzburg) and [FC Liefering](/source/FC_Liefering).[1] He moved to [Austria Wien](/source/FK_Austria_Wien) in 2018, where he was initially assigned to their reserves. He made his professional debut with them in a 3–0 [Austrian Football Bundesliga](/source/Austrian_Football_Bundesliga) win over [SV Ried](/source/SV_Ried) on 18 September 2022.[2] On 9 January 2023, he extended his contract with Austria Wien until 2026.[3]

On 23 June 2025, Meisl signed a contract with [Admira Wacker](/source/Admira_Wacker).[4]

## International career

Meisl is a youth international for Austria, having played up to the [Austria U19s](/source/Austria_national_under-19_football_team).[5]

## Personal life

Meisl's older brother [Luca](/source/Luca_Meisl) is also a professional footballer.[6]
