==Career==
Valverde began his professional career at [Girondins de Bordeaux](/source/FC_Girondins_de_Bordeaux). After the departure of second-choice keeper [Frédéric Roux](/source/Fr%C3%A9d%C3%A9ric_Roux), Valverde was given the #1 shirt and was set to serve as understudy to [French international](/source/France_national_football_team) [Ulrich Ramé](/source/Ulrich_Ram%C3%A9).
