# Mary Early

**Mary Early** (born 1975) is an American sculptor. Some of her work is made using [beeswax](/source/Beeswax) and wood.[1][2][3]

Early was born in 1975 in Washington, DC.[4] She studied at [Bennington College](/source/Bennington_College). Her work had been exhibited at the [American University Museum](/source/American_University_Museum), [Corcoran Gallery of Art](/source/Corcoran_Gallery_of_Art), [United States Botanic Garden](/source/United_States_Botanic_Garden), and the [Washington Project for the Arts](/source/Washington_Project_for_the_Arts). She has also exhibited internationally in Austria and Germany.[5] Early was commissioned to create a piece for the *U.S. State Department Art in Embassies program* which was installed in the United States Embassy in Amman, Jordan in 2018.[6] Early is the director of Hemphill Fine Arts.[5]
