# Martin Stringari

**Martin Stringari** (born 9 October 1971) is a former professional [tennis](/source/Tennis) player from Argentina.[1]

## Career

Stringari and partner [Patricio Arnold](/source/Patricio_Arnold) were [Orange Bowl](/source/Dunlop_Orange_Bowl) winners in 1987, for the "16 and under" age category.[2] He also made the semi-finals of the singles and en route eliminated top seed [Nicklas Kulti](/source/Nicklas_Kulti).[3] At the junior [Grand Slam](/source/Grand_Slam_(tennis)) events he made the doubles quarter-finals at the [French Open](/source/French_Open) in 1988 and 1989, as well as being a doubles quarter-finalist at the [1988 US Open](/source/1988_US_Open_(tennis)).[4]

He won six matches during his professional career on the [ATP Tour](/source/ATP_Tour).[2] His biggest win came at [Búzios](/source/B%C3%BAzios) in 1992, when he beat world number 32 [Jordi Arrese](/source/Jordi_Arrese), with the Spaniard retiring late in the first set, trailing 2–5.[2]
