# Martin Regborn

**Martin Regborn** (born 10 December 1992) is a Swedish [orienteer](/source/Orienteering). He won a gold medal in the long distance event at the 2022 [European Orienteering Championships](/source/European_Orienteering_Championships#Men) in [Rakvere](/source/Rakvere), [Estonia](/source/Estonia).[1][2]

Regborn won a bronze medal in the long distance at the 2016 [European Orienteering Championships](/source/European_Orienteering_Championships) in [Jeseník](/source/Jesen%C3%ADk), [Czech Republic](/source/Czech_Republic).[3] At the [2017 World Orienteering Championships](/source/2017_World_Orienteering_Championships) in [Tartu](/source/Tartu), Estonia, he placed ninth in the long distance,[4] and seventh in the sprint final.[5]

He won a gold medal in sprint at the [2024 World Orienteering Championships](/source/2024_World_Orienteering_Championships) in [Edinburgh](/source/Edinburgh), ahead of [Tino Polsini](/source/Tino_Polsini) and [Emil Svensk](/source/Emil_Svensk).[6] The win was Regborn's first medal in the world orienteering championships.[7] He also qualified for the final in the knockout sprint at the world championships, where he placed fifth.[8] In 2025, he won a silver medal in the long distance at the [2025 World Orienteering Championships](/source/2025_World_Orienteering_Championships) in [Kuopio](/source/Kuopio).[9]

As of 2024, Regborn was based in [Örebro](/source/%C3%96rebro) and was coaching orienteering at a high school in Hallsberg. Regborn named [Emil Wingstedt](/source/Emil_Wingstedt) as one of his orienteering idols growing up.[10]
