**Martin Kirketerp Ibsen** (born 13 July 1982) is a Danish [sailor](/source/Sailing_(sport)) in the [49er class](/source/49er_(dinghy)) who sails with [Jonas Warrer](/source/Jonas_Warrer).[1] At the [2008 Summer Olympics](/source/2008_Summer_Olympics), they stood to win the gold medal before the final round, but their mast broke shortly before start.[2] The Croatian team lent the Danes their boat, and the Danes went on to finish seventh in the round, which would win them the gold medal.[3]

He joined Team Sanaya[4][*[circular reference](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Verifiability#Wikipedia_and_sources_that_mirror_or_use_it)*] as a replacement crew member for legs 5 and 7 of the [2011–12 Volvo Ocean Race](/source/2011%E2%80%9312_Volvo_Ocean_Race).[5][6]
