# Martin Algus

**Martin Algus** (born 25 December 1973)[1] is an [Estonian](/source/Estonia) actor, screenwriter, playwright and translator.[2]

Algus was born in [Jõgeva](/source/J%C3%B5geva). He worked as a stage actor at the [Ugala](/source/Ugala) from 1997 to 2005, and has been working in the field of advertising and translation since 2005.[2] He has also appeared in a number of films and in television roles.[2]

In 2018 his debut novel was published. It was titled *Midagi tõelist* ('Something Real').[2]
