His father is [Ray Redshaw](/source/Ray_Redshaw),<ref name = "NLD111004"/> and his brother is [Jack](/source/Jack_Redshaw), both of whom are footballers.

He was sentenced to three years imprisonment in January 2024 for his part in a major drugs operation in [Darwen](/source/Darwen).
