# Mark Pae

**Mark Pae** (1926–2013) was an [Anglican](/source/Anglicanism)[1] archdeacon and [bishop](/source/Bishop) in the 20th century.

Pae was born in 1926 and educated at [Nashotah House](/source/Nashotah_House), [Wisconsin](/source/Wisconsin) and [ordained](/source/Ordained) [deacon](/source/Deacon) in 1954[2] and [priest](/source/Priest) in 1956.[3] He was a priest in the [Diocese of Korea](/source/Bishop_in_Korea) to 1965 when the diocese was divided.[4] He then worked in the new [Taejon diocese](/source/Anglican_Bishop_of_Taejon) as [Archdeacon](/source/Archdeacon) of [Ch'ungch'ong](/source/Chungcheongbuk-do) and was appointed its bishop in 1974. He was consecrated a bishop on 1 June 1974 by [Paul Cheon-hwan Lee](/source/Paul_Cheon-hwan_Lee), [Bishop of Seoul](/source/Anglican_Diocese_of_Seoul), at [Seoul Anglican Cathedral](/source/Seoul_Anglican_Cathedral).[5] His son is a priest in [Great Neck, New York](/source/Great_Neck,_New_York).[6]
