**Marilyn Livingstone** (born 30 September 1952) is a [Scottish](/source/Scotland) [Labour Co-operative](/source/Labour_Co-operative) politician, who served as the [Member of the Scottish Parliament](/source/Member_of_the_Scottish_Parliament) (MSP) for [Kirkcaldy](/source/Kirkcaldy_(Scottish_Parliament_constituency)) constituency from 1999 to 2011.

Before her election in [1999](/source/1999_Scottish_Parliament_election) she was the head of the Business School at [Fife College](/source/Fife_College).[1] She was also a councillor on [Kirkcaldy District Council](/source/Kirkcaldy) and [Fife Council](/source/Fife_Council). She won re-election from the Kirkcaldy constituency in the [2003](/source/2003_Scottish_Parliament_election) and [2007 elections](/source/2007_Scottish_Parliament_election),

In the [2011 election](/source/2011_Scottish_Parliament_election) she was unsuccessful, losing to the [Scottish National Party](/source/Scottish_National_Party)'s David Torrance by 182 votes.[2]
