# Marie Wegener

**Marie Wegener** (born 6 July 2001) is a German singer who won the [15th season](/source/Deutschland_sucht_den_Superstar_(season_15)) of *[Deutschland sucht den Superstar](/source/Deutschland_sucht_den_Superstar)* (the German version of *[Pop Idol](/source/Pop_Idol)* and *[American Idol](/source/American_Idol)*). She is the youngest winner of the show, the second minor to win, and its fourth female winner. Her winning song "[Königlich](/source/K%C3%B6niglich_(song))" was produced by [Dieter Bohlen](/source/Dieter_Bohlen).

Wegener is a former student of the Steinbart-Gymnasium in [Duisburg](/source/Duisburg).[1]

In 2013, she took part in the first season of the German version of *[The Voice Kids](/source/The_Voice_Kids_(German_TV_series))*, but lost during the Battle Round to Michèle Birner, who went on to win the show.

In 2024, Wegener was one of four artists competing in a special selection for the final of *[Una voce per San Marino 2024](/source/Una_voce_per_San_Marino_2024)*, the Sammarinese national final for the [Eurovision Song Contest 2024](/source/Eurovision_Song_Contest_2024), with the song "Dare to Dream".[2]
