# Maria Haglund

**Maria Haglund** (born 6 May 1972) is a [Swedish](/source/Sweden) [canoe sprinter](/source/Canoe_sprint) and [marathon canoeist](/source/ICF_canoe_marathon) who competed in the 1990s. She won a bronze medal in the K-4 500 m event at the [1992 Summer Olympics](/source/1992_Summer_Olympics) in [Barcelona](/source/Barcelona).

Haglund also won [ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships](/source/ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships) with three [silver medals](/source/Silver_medal) (K-2 5000 m: [1991](/source/1991_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships), K-4 500 m: [1993, 1998](/source/1998_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships)) and three [bronze medals](/source/Bronze_medal) (K-4 200 m: [1995](/source/1995_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships), [1997](/source/1997_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships); K-4 500 m: [1994](/source/1994_ICF_Canoe_Sprint_World_Championships)).
