# Maria Assunta Chiummariello

**Maria Assunta Chiummariello** (born 1 January 1958) is a former Italian [shot putter](/source/Shot_put) three-time [national champion](/source/Italian_Athletics_Championships) at [senior](/source/Open_class_(track_and_field)) level.[1]

## Career

As of 13 March 2021 her 17.74 m in the [shot put](/source/Shot_put) established in 1986, still represents the eighth best Italian all-time performance.

Chiummariello won three national championships.
