**Margarete Haagen** (29 November 1889 – 19 November 1966) was a German [stage](/source/Stage_actor) and [film actress](/source/Film_actress). Haagen appeared in over a hundred films during her career, generally in [character roles](/source/Character_roles). She specialised in playing good-natured elderly ladies. Following the [Second World War](/source/World_War_II), she appeared in several [rubble films](/source/Rubble_films), such as *[In Those Days](/source/In_Those_Days)* (1947).[1] During the 1950s, she often appeared in [heimatfilm](/source/Heimatfilm) and [costume films](/source/Costume_film).
