**Marcus Antony Wyllie** (born 16 July 1999) is an English professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [forward](/source/Forward_(association_football)) for club [Gillingham](/source/Gillingham_F.C.). He will join club [Aldershot Town](/source/Aldershot_Town) on 1 July 2026.[2][3]

## Career

### Early career

Born in Cyprus, Wyllie began his career in Cyprus with [APOEL](/source/APOEL_FC),[1] moving to England at the age of 17.[4][5]

Upon returning to England, Wyllie played non-league football with [Chesham United Reserves](/source/Chesham_United_F.C.#Reserve_team), [Risborough Rangers](/source/Risborough_Rangers_F.C.), [Berkhamsted](/source/Berkhamsted_F.C.) and [Enfield Town](/source/Enfield_Town_F.C.).[6][7][8][9]

### Gillingham

Wyllie signed for [Gillingham](/source/Gillingham_F.C.) for an undisclosed fee in July 2024, his first full-time professional contract.[10][11][12][13] Prior to turning professional with Gillingham, he worked in a Special Education school.[4] Gillingham manager [Mark Bonner](/source/Mark_Bonner_(football_manager)) said he was looking forward to working with Wyllie.[14]

Wyllie made his professional debut on 13 August 2024 as a 66th minute substitute in a 3–1 away defeat to [Swansea City](/source/Swansea_City_F.C.) in the [first round](/source/2024%E2%80%9325_EFL_Cup) of the [EFL Cup](/source/EFL_Cup).[15] He scored his first goal for the team in a 3–1 defeat to [Crystal Palace under-21s](/source/Crystal_Palace_F.C._Under-21s_and_Academy) in the [EFL Trophy](/source/EFL_Trophy).[16]

On 14 March 2025, Wyllie joined [National League](/source/National_League_(division)) side [Dagenham & Redbridge](/source/Dagenham_%26_Redbridge_F.C.) on loan for the remainder of the season.[17] He made his debut for the side as a 69th minute substitute in a 1–3 league loss to [Tamworth](/source/Tamworth_F.C.) the following day.[18] On 23 February 2026, Wyllie joined [National League South](/source/National_League_South) side [Ebbsfleet United](/source/Ebbsfleet_United_F.C.) on loan until the end of the season. [19]

He was released by Gillingham at the end of the 2025–26 season.[20]

### Aldershot Town

On 19 May 2026, Wyllie agreed to join National League club [Aldershot Town](/source/Aldershot_Town_F.C.).[21]
