# Marcel Meran

**Marcel Meran** (4 October 1871 — 9 April 1947)[1] was a French [sailor](/source/Sailing_(sport)),[2] who represented his country at the [1900 Summer Olympics](/source/Sailing_at_the_1900_Summer_Olympics_%E2%80%93_.5_to_1_ton) in [Meulan](/source/Meulan), France. With [Émile Michelet](/source/%C3%89mile_Michelet) as helmsman, Meran took the 3rd place in the race of the [.5 to 1 ton](/source/Ton_class).[3]
