The **MapArt Publishing Corporation** is a Canadian [cartography](/source/Cartography) publisher founded in 1981 by Peter Heiler Ltd.[1] that produces and prints yearly editions of [maps](/source/Map) for Canada and the [United States](/source/United_States). Headquartered in [Oshawa](/source/Oshawa), [Ontario](/source/Ontario), MapArt is Canada's leading map publisher, producing more Canadian titles than any of its competitors and all settlements with a population over 5000 in Canada are covered in various editions.[2][3][4] Its signature yellow cover is seen throughout the country at [filling stations](/source/Filling_station), [convenience stores](/source/Convenience_store), and book, stationery, & office supply stores.[*[citation needed](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)*] MapArt Publishing grouped up with [Rand McNally Maps](/source/Rand_McNally) and [JDMGEO Maps](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=JDMGEO&action=edit&redlink=1), to create [CCC Maps](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=CCC_Maps&action=edit&redlink=1) in 2013 but returned to publish under the MapArt banner in 2014.[5]
