The constituency was created in 2008 and it comprises [Manpur tehsil](https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Manpur_tehsil&action=edit&redlink=1) and [Pali tehsil](/source/Pali_tehsil), both in [Umaria district](/source/Umaria_district).[4] As of 2023, it is represented by [Meena Singh](/source/Meena_Singh_(Manpur_politician)) of the [Bharatiya Janata Party](/source/Bharatiya_Janata_Party).
