{{Conservatism in Hungary}}
Mandiner identifies itself as [national liberal](/source/national_liberal) and [national conservative](/source/national_conservative). It also uses the word ''szabadelvű'' to describe its line, which is a special Hungarian version of liberalism stemming from the 19th century. Mandiner wrote on its Facebook page: "We are not independent, but we also look at ourselves and the political camp close to us with irony. We believe in the variegation of opinions, freedom, tradition and Hungarian history..."<ref name=küldetés>[https://www.facebook.com/pg/mandiner.hu/about/?ref=page_internal Mandiner Küldetés], facebook.com</ref> The paper has been considered part of the pro-government propaganda media.<ref>{{Cite journal |last=Grygiel |first=Marcin |date=2023 |title=Pro-Peace vs. Pro-War Conceptualizations in the Language of Hungarian Propaganda |url=https://czasopisma.uni.lodz.pl/research/article/view/21576 |journal=[Research in Language](/source/Research_in_Language) |volume=21 |issue=2 |page=177 |doi=10.18778/1731-7533.21.2.05 |issn=1731-7533|hdl=11089/49002 |hdl-access=free }}</ref>
