# Manavi

**Manavi** (Georgian: *მანავი*) is a village in the [Sagarejo Municipality](/source/Sagarejo_Municipality), [Kakheti](/source/Kakheti) region, [Georgia](/source/Georgia_(country)). It is famous for its yellowish green [wine](/source/Wine), Manavis [Mtsvane](/source/Mtsvane). In Georgia, wine drinking is central to the culture and is especially recommended for long celebrations. Olympic judoka [Guram Gogolauri](/source/Guram_Gogolauri) was born here.[1]
