Parvathi was born in [Thiruvananthapuram](/source/Thiruvananthapuram) on 8 May 1968 to Adv. C. V. Thrivikraman and Dr. K. Parvathi began her career as a [television presenter](/source/television_presenter) from 1994 for popular TV shows of [Asianet](/source/Asianet_(TV_channel))'s ''Ulkazhcha'', ''Nammal Thammil'' and its first live morning show ''Suprabhatham'', that ran from 1997 to 2000. Parvathi ventured into acting in 2007 with the film ''[Time](/source/Time_(2007_film))'', directed by [Shaji Kailas](/source/Shaji_Kailas). Since then, she has worked in more than 100 films across various languages. Her performances has gauged her several accolades including the prestigious [Ramu Kariat](/source/Ramu_Kariat) Award, JFW Award etc. to name a few.
