**Lynn Milgrim** (born March 17, 1944)[1] is an American film, television, and stage [actress](/source/Actress).[2] She is best known as an accomplished [stage actress](/source/Stage_actress) and has been in numerous [Broadway](/source/Broadway_theatre), national, and regional productions.[3][4][5][6] She has also appeared in many feature films, television series, and television movies.[7][8]

## Early years

Milgrim was born on March 17, 1944, in [Philadelphia](/source/Philadelphia), [Pennsylvania](/source/Pennsylvania).[1] She graduated from Swarthmore[9] and received her master's degree in elementary education from Harvard in 1965.[10] While she taught sixth grade in [Arlington, Massachusetts](/source/Arlington%2C_Massachusetts), she worked nights at [Loeb Drama Center](/source/American_Repertory_Theater).[11]
