# Lyn Byl

**Lyn Byl** (born 1 December 1979 in [Wuppertal](/source/Wuppertal,_Germany), [Germany](/source/Germany)) is a British-German former [handball](/source/Handball) player and coach. Born in Germany, she has an English mother and played for both the [British national team](/source/Great_Britain_women's_national_handball_team) and the [German national team](/source/Germany_women's_national_handball_team). She made her debut for Great Britain in 2008 and competed at the [2012 Summer Olympics](/source/2012_Summer_Olympics).[2] in London. She is a physiotherapist by profession.[3] She coached the women's team of [1.FC Köln](/source/1.FC_K%C3%B6ln) between 2013 and 2016.[4]
