# Lydgate, Greater Manchester

**Lydgate** is a village in the civil parish of [Saddleworth](/source/Saddleworth) in the [Metropolitan Borough of Oldham](/source/Metropolitan_Borough_of_Oldham), in [Greater Manchester](/source/Greater_Manchester), England. The village, which has a church, was part of the Agbrigg Wapentake, part of the historic [West Riding of Yorkshire](/source/West_Riding_of_Yorkshire).[1][2][3][4]

There are a number of [listed buildings](/source/Listed_building) in the village, including the late 17th-century [Grotton Hall](/source/Grotton_Hall),[5] the [White Hart](/source/White_Hart,_Lydgate) pub,[6] and St Anne's Church.[7]
