**Lumphini MRT station** ([Thai](/source/Thai_language): สถานีลุมพินี, pronounced [\[sā.tʰǎː.nīː lūm.pʰī.nīː\]](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Thai); code BL25) is a [Bangkok MRT](/source/MRT_(Bangkok)) station on the [Blue Line](/source/MRT_Blue_Line). It is located beneath [Rama IV Road](/source/Rama_IV_Road) at Witthayu Intersection, where [Witthayu](/source/Witthayu_Road) intersects Rama IV road, serving one of the city's main business districts. Although the station's name refers to [Lumphini Park](/source/Lumphini_Park), the king [Vajiravudh](/source/Vajiravudh) monument which is the main sight of the park is closer to [Sala Daeng](/source/Sala_Daeng) Intersection, which is served by [Si Lom](/source/Si_Lom_MRT_station) and [Sala Daeng BTS station](/source/Sala_Daeng_BTS_station).

## Station details

Lumphini is an underground station, measuring at a width of 20 metres (66 ft) and a length of 172 metres (564 ft), and is at a depth of 26 metres (85 ft). It uses a [split platform](/source/Split_platform) due to half of [Rama IV Road](/source/Rama_IV_Road) containing some of the [Metropolitan Waterworks Authority](/source/Metropolitan_Waterworks_Authority)'s pipes. Lumphini is represented by the [lotus](/source/Nelumbo_nucifera) symbol and the color green. [1]
