**Luke Wood** (born 2 August 1995) is an English [cricketer](/source/Cricket) who plays for [England](/source/England_cricket_team) and [Lancashire](/source/Lancashire_County_Cricket_Club). Primarily a left-arm [fast-medium](/source/Fast_bowling) [bowler](/source/Bowling_(cricket)), he also bats left-handed. He made his [first-class](/source/First-class_cricket) debut for [Nottinghamshire](/source/Nottinghamshire_County_Cricket_Club) against [Sussex](/source/Sussex_County_Cricket_Club) in September 2014. He made his international debut in 2022

In April 2022, he was bought by the [Trent Rockets](/source/Trent_Rockets) for the [2022 season](/source/2022_season_of_The_Hundred) of [The Hundred](/source/The_Hundred_(cricket)).[1] The following month, Wood was named in England's [One Day International](/source/One_Day_International) (ODI) squad for their series [against the Netherlands](/source/English_cricket_team_in_the_Netherlands_in_2022).[2] In September 2022, he was named in the England's T20I squad for the [series against Pakistan](/source/English_cricket_team_in_Pakistan_in_2022%E2%80%9323).[3] He made his T20I debut on 20 September 2022, against [Pakistan](/source/Pakistan_cricket_team).[4] Wood made his ODI debut on 17 November 2022, [against Australia](/source/English_cricket_team_in_Australia_in_2022%E2%80%9323).[5]

In the [BPL](/source/Bangladesh_Premier_League) [2022–23](/source/2022%E2%80%9323_Bangladesh_Premier_League), he was taken by [Sylhet Strikers](/source/Sylhet_Strikers) franchise. He played a crucial part in the Qualifier 2 conceding just 3 runs in the penultimate over helping Sylhet reach the final of BPL 2023.

On 18 March 2024, he was signed as a replacement for the injured [Jason Behrendorff](/source/Jason_Behrendorff) by [Mumbai Indians](/source/Mumbai_Indians) for [₹](/source/Indian_rupee)50 [lakh](/source/Lakh) (£39,000).[6]

On 21 March 2025, it was announced that Wood had been signed by [ECB](/source/England_and_Wales_Cricket_Board), [Lincolnshire Premier League](/source/Lincolnshire_Premier_League) side [Woodhall Spa](/source/Woodhall_Spa) Cricket Club, when not on white-ball duty.[7]
