# Lucy Packer

**Lucy Francesca A. J. Packer** (born 2 February 2000) is an English rugby union player. She is a member of the [England women's national rugby union team](/source/England_women's_national_rugby_union_team) and plays for [Harlequins](/source/Harlequins_Women) at club level, but has previously represented [Wales](/source/Wales_women's_national_rugby_sevens_team) in [rugby sevens](/source/Rugby_sevens).[1]

## International career

Packer made her debut for [England](/source/England_women's_national_rugby_union_team) off the bench against the [USA](/source/United_States_women's_national_rugby_union_team) in November 2021.[1]

In September 2022, Packer was named in the England squad for the COVID-delayed [2021 Rugby World Cup](/source/2021_Rugby_World_Cup).[2]

She was called up into England's squad for the [2025 Women's Six Nations Championship](/source/2025_Women's_Six_Nations_Championship).[3][4] She was named in the [Red Roses](/source/England_women's_national_rugby_union_team) squad for the [Women's Rugby World Cup](/source/2025_Women's_Rugby_World_Cup).[5][6]

## Club career

Packer signed with [Harlequins](/source/Harlequins_Women) in 2018 and was part of their title-winning 2020–21 squad.[7]

## Early life and education

Packer grew up in [Ammanford](/source/Ammanford), where she attended [Ysgol Dyffryn Aman](/source/Ysgol_Dyffryn_Aman), She played for Amman Utd and Cardiff Quins. She is currently studying biochemistry at the University of Surrey.[7] She is distantly related to rugby legend [Adrian Stoop](/source/Adrian_Stoop).[1]
