He was born and raised in San Felice in [Segrate](/source/Segrate) in the [Metropolitan City of Milan](/source/Metropolitan_City_of_Milan), although he has family from [Naples](/source/Naples). He was a keen [football](/source/association_football) player, and would play on the wing, before focusing on athletics in 2020.
