**Luca Emanuel Meisl** (born 4 March 1999) is an Austrian professional [footballer](/source/Association_football) who plays as a [centre-back](/source/Centre-back) for [Austria Salzburg](/source/SV_Austria_Salzburg).

## Career

### Club career

Meisl came up in the [Red Bull Salzburg](/source/FC_Red_Bull_Salzburg) academy.[1] He then played for [FC Liefering](/source/FC_Liefering).[1] He scored a goal in 11 matches played during the [2016–17 season](/source/2016%E2%80%9317_Austrian_Football_First_League) and no goals in 24 matches played in the [2017–18 season](/source/2017%E2%80%9318_Austrian_Football_First_League).[2] He also made a [league](/source/Austrian_Football_Bundesliga) appearance and a [cup](/source/Austrian_Cup) appearance during the [2017–18 season](/source/2017%E2%80%9318_FC_Red_Bull_Salzburg_season) for Red Bull Salzburg.[2]

During the [2018–19 season](/source/2018%E2%80%9319_Austrian_Football_Bundesliga) he will play on loan for [SKN St. Pölten](/source/SKN_St._P%C3%B6lten).[3]

On 1 September 2020 he signed with [SV Ried](/source/SV_Ried).[4]

On 8 January 2024, Meisl joined [Austria Lustenau](/source/SC_Austria_Lustenau) until June 2025.[5]

Meisl has played for Austria's [U-16](/source/Austria_national_under-16_football_team), [U-17](/source/Austria_national_under-17_football_team), [U-18](/source/Austria_national_under-18_football_team), and [U-19](/source/Austria_national_under-19_football_team) teams.[6]

## Personal life

Meisl's younger brother [Matteo](/source/Matteo_Meisl) is also a professional footballer.[7]
