He has been serving as assistant coach of [Genève-Servette HC](/source/Gen%C3%A8ve-Servette_HC) in the [National League](/source/National_League_(ice_hockey)) (NL) since 2008. Matte is the twin brother of [René Matte](/source/Ren%C3%A9_Matte_(ice_hockey)) who also coaches ice hockey.

== Career ==

In 2008, he was named assistant coach of Genève-Servette's men's team in the Swiss top-flight [National League](/source/National_League_(ice_hockey)) (NL).
